Gold Pendant Lights
Gold Pendant Lights are considered to be more of a luxury "pop" addition to interior spaces. It can be used in fine details to bring out some colour, or extravagantly relished in an over abundance of the colour to ignite the feeling of luxury and style in your home or business. Although gold is a completely separate colour to brass - the former being more shiner than the latter - we have meticulously compiled a list of pendant lights that are gold "in nature". Meaning, these pendant lights will give the same sense of luxury and richness as the colour gold (even though some are brass).
We welcome you to browse our selection of gold pendant lights to ignite your interiors with style.
Gold - The Colour vs The Material
Gold (the material) is a yellow precious metal, the chemical element of atomic number 79, used especially in jewellery and decoration and to guarantee the value of currencies.
Gold (the colour) is sometimes referred to as golden to distinguish it from the colour metallic gold.
None of our gold coloured pendant lights are made of the actual precious metal gold - It would just be too impractical and heavy. Instead, all of our gold pendants are made of metal and then finished in the colour gold. It could be finished in gold colour by paint or electroplating.
Why Gold?
We used to associate gold colour and gilding exclusively with luxury, wealth and even some pretentiousness. It seems that the shine of this metal will be appropriate only in medieval or, at most, classical interiors; in extreme cases – in Moroccan or colonial. But if you think more broadly, it becomes clear that gilding can also bring special warmth and comfort to the interior, and to be present in modern design.
With the help of this shade, it’s easy to give the design a certain sophistication, bohemianism and solemnity, and this, in turn, fits into the concept of almost any stylistic trend.
Combining Gold
Gold is usually combined with other colours like black, copper and white depending on what the interior designer wants to achieve. Each combination provides a completely different feel. For example, gold and white would have an entirely different feel than gold and black. Now, when it comes to designing pendant lights, you will also a similar pattern in design to achieve different effects. In saying that, some designers feel like it's best to shower an entire design in gold and let other elements in a room to play with the pendant light. Either way, you can find something from our collection to suit your home or business.

What you will notice is that most designs that utilise the colour gold will generally also utilise a juxtaposing clear glass colour to balance the "pop" given by gold.
